Trip to Innsbruck

These are some pictures from when Petr, Elina, Sara and I took a trip to Innsbruck to visit IKEA, see the Golden Roof and have a look around for the rest of the day.

At IKEA there are chairs like this one which are being tested by having a robot "sit" on them repeatedly with a robotic wooden bum. This chair was shown in a glass case for demonstration purposes, being sat on again and again for everyone's enjoyment.

The statue of Jesus in Innsbruck seems to be staring at the massive snowy mountains surrounding Innsbruck. Look at how many people there are outside in the city.

This lady is entirely painted in silver and balances motionlessly on a pillar until someone tosses her a coin. Not shown in this picture is her dog which lies in a basket at the foot of the pillar.

I know there's a good word for these things that stick out the side of buildings like this but I can't seem to think of it right now, does anybody else know?

What is this called?

Buildings in Innsbruck's Altstad (literally Old Town) still look like they might have several centuries ago.

Like bakeries sell baked food, this place sells speck. Google would have you believe that speck is directly translatable from German to English as bacon but I think this shop sells a little more than just bacon.

This bus has speakers hanging on one side and a DJ on top jamming heavy dubstep music very loudly to a group of people who gathered around it to headbang. They kept asking the audience to keep an eye out for the police...
